What Are You Birthing Right Now?

This morning, a client sat across from me, and the air around her was thick with fear. The current state of our world, the news headlines, the political divide, and the sheer uncertainty had her trapped. She was sitting smack-dab in the middle of it, paralyzed by worry.
It's a familiar feeling, isn't it? That deep-seated anxiety about the future, about safety, about how we're all going to get through this. But here’s the thing about fear: while it's a very real emotion, it's also a powerful catalyst. It can either shrink you down, or it can be the pressure needed to forge something new. I looked at her and asked a simple, yet profound, question: "If something beautiful and new is being born out of this chaos, what do you want that 'something' to be?"
Her answer wasn't about politics or changing the world overnight. It was profoundly human and beautiful:
She wanted to feel safe again.
She wanted to raise her family in a stable environment.
She wanted to be able to put food on her table and on the tables of others who needed it.
Most of all, she wanted us all to love each other and remember that, at our core, we are all one.
Isn't that what we all truly want? A simple, safe, loving life?
Stop Waiting for Permission
When we feel trapped by the world's problems, we often fall into the trap of waiting. We wait for the government to change, we wait for the economy to stabilize, we wait for people to finally start "getting along." We wait for permission to feel safe and loved.
But what if you don't have to wait?
I looked at my client and gave her one piece of advice that I want to share with you right now: Go live that right now.
The vision she had for a better future, safety, provision, connection, love, is not a future destination. It is a present action.
You cannot control the news cycle, but you can control the energy you bring into your own kitchen. You can't force two political leaders to shake hands, but you can offer an act of kindness to a struggling neighbor. You can't solve global food insecurity today, but you can support a local food bank or drop off a meal to a friend in need.
Your Future is Built in This Moment
The great, loving, connected world you want to see is not going to appear fully formed. It is being birthed right now, through the small, intentional actions you take today.
If you want more love, be more loving.
If you want more safety, create safety in your home and your community.
If you want connection, reach out.
Don't let the fear of the future steal the power of your present. Step out of the paralysis of worry and into the power of choice.
What small, intentional act will you take today to birth the world you truly want to live in? Go live that right now.
Have a great day!
XXOO,
Leigh
